Development of a Practical Motorcycle Towing Device

Abstract

Motorcycle to motorcycle towing device is not readily available in the Malaysian market. Most of the motorcycle towing service uses a pick-up truck to pick up the motorcycle. Such towing or on-site service fee can be too expensive anyway. In addition, some of the towing processes are done only using a foot to propel the towed motorcycle. The aim of this project to produce a product that can be commercialized and solve the problem. In this project, a prototype is produced after the fabrication process. The prototype seemed to function. The length of the sling successfully retracted for storing, thus the sling retractor is working as intended.

He graduated from UTeM with BEng Mechanical Engineering in 2018.

Dr. Shamsul Anuar Shamsudin, Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka

I studied Mechanical Engineering in MUCIA program at Indiana University at Shah Alam 1992-1994 and completed it at Valparaiso University in 1997. I completed my master's at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia in 2004 before undertaking PhD work from 2008 to 2013.

Mohd Azman Abdullah, Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka

A member of CARe and FKM in UTeM. He earned a DEng from Japan.

Shahrudin Zakaria, Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka

He was received degrees in Electrical Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.
